Lets start running

First of all start with a bit of research - choose a route or area that you know well, look for somewhere that would take you 30 minutes to walk.
Make sure you have some comfortable clothing and suitable footwear, nothing too expensive required.
Try to get around the route 3 times a week, jog / walk the route and keep an eye on your time, as you get faster try to complete the run without stopping.
when you can do this at a comfortable pace then try a slightly longer route or 2 laps.
The Park run on Sizewell beach is an ideal place to start.

The Heritage Coast Run and Walk, also known as the Saxmundham and Framlingham Rotary Marathon, is an annual event enabling runners and walkers from across the UK to enjoy the beautiful Suffolk coast in a different way. Walk or run our 6 mile, half marathon and full marathon courses.
Woodbridge 10k Road Race
The annual Woodbridge Round-the-Town Charity races
The races follow an undulating course through the streets of Woodbridge that brings the whole town out to line the streets and support the runners.
This event is for all the family – you can run, jog or walk – a great way to spend Sunday morning! Register at the Moot Hall (Upper Chamber) between 10:00am and 10:45am. • Registration Fee is £5, but free for juniors
(under 14 years on the day).
The ‘Aldeburgh Fun Relay Team Triathlon’ has become a popular and highly anticipated occasion within the local area, encouraging friendly competition with a wide-spread participation in sport for all ages and abilities. With the integration of local businesses and community support, the sporting event has generated an excitement in the town.

we’re launching our first ever Fun Run here at Sutton Hoo, raising money for the exciting changes soon to be happening with our HLF Sutton Hoo Project.

The Sutton Hoo Fun Run will be a 5K run through the beautiful scenery of our site, looping around the entire estate. The route heads up to the burial mounds, down through Top Hat wood and round via the road to Home Wood and Brown’s Planting before circling around our Pinewood Walk again.


Martlesham 5k/10k

The race starts and finishes on the grass area on The Green of Martlesham Heath with the remainder of the flat course on tarmac roads or pavements. Please note that there will be no road closures on the race day and you will need to be aware of traffic at all times.

Boss Hog (35+ obstacles/around 7 miles)?, at Wantisden Hall, Nr Woodbridge

Beccles Triathlon Club 
Beccles Triathlon Club is affiliated with Triathlon England East Region.  The club aims to be low cost, encouraging and fun.
We fully appreciate work and/or family commitments so you are more than welcome to (as others do) come along to as many sessions as you like as
and when you can.
We have over 100 members.  Which include a wide range of abilities, from potential GB-ers to those who weren't able to swim a length, cycle a mile or run more than a few minutes when they started. We have new people joining us all the time so no one gets left behind.
The Saxons is a small, friendly running club with a focus on health, fitness and wellbeing. We welcome all abilities from complete beginners through to advanced, experienced runners. 
We meet on Tuesday nights for coaching sessions and Thursday nights for circuit and fitness training.  During the spring we also run a Beginners course.
Every October we host the Saxons 5 Mile Race which is a multi-terrain run for those aged 15 and over plus a Junior Fun Run.
The 2018 Saxons 5 Mile Race will be on Sunday 14 October.
Tri-Anglia are a progressive and forward-thinking club for
athletes who compete in Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquathlon, Swimming,
Cycling and Running events.
